Well, fans across the world are already excited about the group coming up with new projects and numbers soon. There is no surprise in the fact that multiple international pop icons are a fan of the K-pop girl group. For instance, we cannot forget how Taylor Swift danced to BLACKPINK’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022 while Lizzo grabbed a selfie with group members Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa.

Kill This Love’s record

The BLACKPINK fans have another reason to enjoy now as the group has recently made a whole new record. Their music video titled ‘Kill This Love’ has reportedly surpassed 1.7 billion views on the popular platform, YouTube. The report was confirmed by the K-pop girl group’s agency YG Entertainment on Friday.

For the unversed, ‘Kill This Love’ is the group’s second video to reach the milestone on the platform, following the bandwagon of another mega hit of theirs which is “Ddu-du Ddu-du.’ As of now, the quartet has become the first K-pop artist to have two videos of theirs to hold the record.

The group’s schedule

All the BLACKPINK members recently returned to Seoul on Saturday after the North American leg of their lengthy international tour. The K-pop girl group performed 14 times in seven different cities in Canada and the US for an audience of around 200,000 people. They have begun their schedule again from Monday.

The new record

The 2022 MTV European Music Awards was held in Düsseldorf, Germany on November 13, 2022. BLACKPINK was among the many groups who won it big at the mega event for the ‘Best Metaverse Performance’ category ‘The Virtual.’ International media congratulated the popular K-pop girl band that has multiple records in its kitty already!

For the unversed, the BLACKPINK members could not attend the MTV EMAs 2022 because they are currently embarking on their BORN PINK world tour across multiple countries. However, the group did make sure to send a gratitude-filled video to BLINKS from all over the world.
