BLACKPINK members preview new track ‘Ready for Love’ during THE VIRTUAL in-game concert

The girl group BLACKPINK is back with multiple surprises for all their fans, and the latest one is related to their song Ready for Love. The girls recently performed in their first-ever virtual concert from the collaboration project titled BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE 2022 IN-GAME CONCERT: [THE VIRTUAL]. The fans also witnessed the 3D avatars of BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose in the in-game virtual concert with a special performance from the group’s side that got showcased amid the game.

Ready for Love

It was earlier revealed by BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment that the song Ready for Love is every bit the group’s style that everyone has come to know and loved over the past few years. The track witnesses some pop oozing with a bit of a high tempo drop. It was further enhanced by the visuals of the virtual game as the song gets set to overcome the senses of the music lovers. Fans also fell in love with the song’s lyrics which talks about not giving up the quest for love. The track also includes the signature BLACKPINK backdrop sound that music lovers have adored over the years.

BLACKPINK’s latest concert

July 23, 2022, witnessed the first of the four BLACKPINK concerts scheduled as a part of the same campaign. The fans got the opportunity to participate in a fun online concert that was conducted by the online incarnations of the BLACKPINK members themselves! Initially, it was reported that around 5 million registrations happened for the virtual concert, but later, the number was revealed to be a whopping 9 million participants!

On July 12, 2022, BLACKPINK’s official account dropped a black and pink poster while announcing its collaboration with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile for an upcoming in-game concert. The concert is titled ‘THE VIRTUAL’ and is going to happen on July 22-23, 2022, and July 29-30, 2022, in North and South America. The same concert will take place on July 23-24, 2022, and July 30-31, 2022, for the rest of the world. This also marks PUBG mobile’s first-ever in-game concert featuring BLACKPINK.

YG Entertainment, the agency associated with BLACKPINK, also shared details of the upcoming concert with various South Korean media outlets with a statement that read, “Along with the members’ 3D avatars, three-dimensional sounds and performances will come to life through the high-level technology of the game production company, PUBGM.”

Apart from this, the agency shared another vital information related to BLACKPINK that sent the fans into a frenzy. So, the group was all set to unveil a special track at THE VIRTUAL, which would be providing a whole new virtual experience to everyone. Here is what YG entertainment said about Ready for Love at that time, “In particular, the performances will be completed with motion capture, adding a lifelike vibe similar to the real deal.”
