BLACKPINK has reigned supreme in the battle of the Idol bands!

The quartet girl band has topped the ‘Idol Group Brand Reputation’ rankings for November, slipping past BTS who ranked at no.2.

Even though two of the most popular K-pop bands in the world have dominated this month’s ranking, they have not undergone active brand projects or endorsements in the past two years. They have garnered these rankings through the success of their solo careers.

The Korea Business Research Institute analyzed data surrounding consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness collected between October 21 and November 21, and rounded up the results based on these parameters.

BLACKPINK’s rank-topping victory comes after Rosé’s APT shattered earlier set K-pop records, and ranked No. 1 on Billboard 200 charts. Her collaboration with Grammy winner Bruno Mars on the song solidified her station as the first female K-pop solo artist to earn a top 10 single on the UK Singles Chart as well as debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. She managed to achieve these accomplishments even before the release of her debut solo album, Rosie.

The keywords “Rosé,” “APT,” and “BLINK,” led to the highest number of searches.
