BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK promotions come to an end

It was just a little while ago that the BLACKPINK members made a massive comeback with their full-length album BORN PINK. Not only that, but the K-pop girl group left no stone unturned in promoting the album on multiple platforms. There is no denying that the BLINKs enjoyed every moment of BORN PINK’s promotions. However, time flies fast, and just like others, the promotions for the group’s second full-length album have finally come to an end, with only a few upcoming concerts left for the members to wrap it up.

Recently, a letter was released for all BLINKs around the world notifying them about the end of BLACKPINK’s promotions for BORN PINK. Here is what it says, “Hello BLINKs! This promotion was really fun and we were happy thanks to BLINKs. BLINKs, who always stay by our side loving and supporting us without change. Thank you for liking this album we worked hard to prepare! Now it’s our concert!! hehe. BLINK, Are you ready? Starting from the concerts on Oct 15 and 16, we’re going to go meet the fans all around the world, so wait a bit more! The weather is getting chilly, so dress warm and take care of your health!! We’ll see you soon! Love you.”

According to the latest Billboard charts for the first week of October, the album BORN PINK’s title track Shut Down has debuted with an impressive rank on the Hot 100 char. For the unversed, the song has grabbed the 25th spot on the chart, joining the pre-release track Pink Venom on the chart that is already going strong for five weeks now. The said track is currently at the 57th position on the chart.

Among others, BORN PINK’s title track Shut Down has ranked at number one on the Billboard Global 200 and the Global Exclusive US charts. The track has now extended its record that was previously made by its predecessor, Pink Venom. Talking about Shut Down, it has also scored the number one rank on the World Digital Song Sales Chart.

Earlier in the week, it was also reported that BORN PINK had debuted at the number one rank on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the first from the girl group. It makes BLACKPINK the only female K-pop act to date to have achieved the feat and the first-ever all-female group since 2008. The album has also aced the Top Album Sales, TOP Current Album Sales, and Tastemaker Album Sales.
