Jennie blocks her followers
On September 20, 2022, the BLACKPINK member’s alleged private account reportedly unfollowed everyone and blocked all her followers. As of now, the said private account is not following anyone, nor is anyone following it. So, Jennie seems to have cut off all her friends from her private account, which makes her posts visible only to herself.
The alleged hacker
The current news comes in the aftermath of the leaking of Jennie’s private photos by a hacker. The alleged hacker reportedly claimed that the photos got leaked through a presumed acquaintance of the BLACKPINK member – a reason that may have played a major role in the K-pop idol deciding to purge her account.
The dating rumors
In the midst of all this, Jennie was earlier linked to BTS member V after reports started doing rounds about the two of them dating each other. The internet was sent into a frenzy in earlier May this year after alleged photos of the duo driving around Jeju Island suddenly surfaced online and went viral in no time. Since then, both BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’ V have been embroiled in dating rumors. However, none of them or their respective agencies have given a clarification over the same.
The leaked photos
Reports suggest that the photos of Jennie and V were allegedly leaked by a Twitter user named Gurumharibo. Many also suspected that Jennie’s private Instagram account was hacked and that the photos were leaked from there, given that they were supposedly clicked on the BLACKPINK member’s phone.
BLACKPINK
In other news, the BLACKPINK members, including Jennie, are currently the talk of the town owing to the release of their album BORN PINK. For the unversed, the album was released on September 16, 2022, along with the title track Shut Down, which has received a humongous response from the audience. Apart from that, their pre-release track, Pink Venom, is also breaking records everywhere. Recently, the new album BORN PINK set a record after having sold 1 million copies. It is the first time in the history of the K-pop girl group that their album sales exceeded 1 million copies on the first day, according to the Hanteo chart records.
