It’s been just a few days since the BLACKPINK members dropped their pre-release track Pink Venom, and it seems like its record-breaking spree has already begun! As informed by an American media outlet, the popular pre-release track has gained 90.4 million views within a span of just 24 hours. The same has made Pink Venom the biggest MV debut of 2022 on the popular platform, YouTube. It has also become the third largest 24-hour music video debut of all time, thereby breaking the earlier record made by How You Like That.

Earlier, when Pink Venom’s MV was released, the number of concurrent users on YouTube Premiere was confirmed to be around 2.5 million. This also makes for the highest record for any K-pop girl group. For the unversed, Pink Venom’s music video had earlier also achieved 100 million views at the fastest speed, which is 29 hours and 35 minutes, among other K-pop girl groups. The best part here is that BLACKPINK’s video has maintained its position as YouTube’s most viewed video even on the fourth day.
Spotify Record
On August 22, 2022, the group wrapped up with a whopping 10 million streams and above on the track’s very first day on the popular music platform Spotify. Now, Pink Venom has become the biggest K-pop song to debut on the platform on 2022. It has beat BTS’ Yet to Come in the said category. Apart from that, the song has also topped the Global Top 50 chart of US’ Spotify. It is the first-ever song by Korean female artists to have achieved the feat.

As for the music video, it has predominantly surpassed 100 million views on yet another platform, YouTube, on August 20, 2022. The said song was released on August 19, 2022, at 1 pm, and within around 30 hours, it created multiple records one after the other. This makes it the fastest among all the K-pop girl group videos to have reached a whopping 100 million views so far.
