BLACKPINK’s track Pink Venom from BORN PINK debuts on Billboard Global 200 Chart

We have a piece of good news for all the BLACKPINK fans, and it is related to their latest pre-release track, Pink Venom. For the unversed, the new track is currently soaring high on none other than the Billboard charts themselves! It was on August 29, 2022, that Billboard announced its weekly Global 200 charts and Global Exclusive US charts. The same revealed that the girl group’s track Pink Venom debuted at number one on both charts. For the unversed, BLACKPINK released the track on August 19, 2022, which was a pre-release single from the upcoming album titled BORN PINK.

Pink Venom’s records

Talking about Pink Venom, it has now become BLACKPINK’s first-ever song to have hit the number one rank on the Billboard Global 200 chart. The girl group’s previous track, Lovesick Girls, had also reached the number two rank on the chart earlier. Apart from that, Pink Venom has become the group’s second track to have ranked on the Global Exclusive US Chart, following their earlier track, Lovesick Girls. According to Luminate, the track Pink Venom is said to have drawn 212.1 million streams in the week of August 19-25. The track has further recorded 36000 download sales during the same period.

Other records

Pink Venom has further debuted at number 22 on the current week’s Hot 100 chart. With the same, the track has become BLACKPINK’s eighth entry into the chart, and its fourth top hit. Apart from that, the same song has also debuted at number one rank on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, which makes it the first-ever song to have debuted atop the same.

Pink Venom

Pink Venom is the second album pre-release song of the BLACKPINK members. As for the music video, it has predominantly surpassed 100 million views on yet another platform, YouTube, on August 20, 2022. The said song was released on August 19, 2022, at 1 pm, and within around 30 hours, it created multiple records, one after the other. This makes it the fastest among all the K-pop girl group videos to have reached a whopping 100 million views so far.
