A tragedy struck Las Vegas, Nev, one of the most happening cities in the United States of America. A few days earlier, on October 6, 2023, a five-year-old boy was struck by a van while he was coming outside school. Now, a 41-year-old man who was allegedly under the influence of a substance while driving has been arrested.
The child’s name was Kamari KK Jordan Wolfe, and his aunt Tracy Wolfe Coleman says that he was “run over multiple times” while going to Somerset Academy, which is a charter school in North Vegas. People also confirmed the same. This information was taken from the GoFundMe post written by his aunt.
The Las Vegas Review Journal shares details of the incident where the kindergarten-going boy just got out of his mother’s car at around 7:50 am, and when he was crossing the school driveway, “he was struck by a van.” The outlet further reported, “A van tried to go around a line of stalled vehicles and hit the child.”
The child was declared dead on arrival at the hospital despite the paramedic and nursing student taking consistent measures to perform emergency CPR as soon as he was found. This information is also provided by Wolfe Coleman in the GoFundMe post.
The GoFundMe post further reads, “K was just starting his day when he was run over multiple times after initially being hit by a work van. The driver of the van attempted to leave but with the help of other parents, he was stopped. ”
As per People, The Review-Journal and Fox5 reported that the arrest was made on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and because the driver was not giving his full time and attention to driving.
The accused was identified as Guillermo Cchochi Senobua, a 41-year-old male. The police said the driver “remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.” He cooperated and gave his blood sample, which the police found, “After the blood draw, police said they learned from a background check that Senobua had a warrant for his arrest on a DUI charge in Texas, police said in another statement issued Friday after the arrest.” The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the same.
We also see that Driving Under the Influence charges lead to suspension of the commercial license and require remedial procedures. However, Guillermo is now charged with the child’s death as well.
A fundraiser was put in place to help the grieving family, and it made $20,000 by October 8, 2023. KK’s 51-year-old granny, Kari Schultz, describes her grandson, “He never met a stranger. He wasn’t shy at all. He talked to everybody. He gave people hugs and he squeezed them so tight, you know, he just wouldn’t let go.” she also adds, “He was full of life.”
As a single mother Jasmyn with two more children, she has to raise them too. Her sister writes in the GoFundMe post, “Jasmyn has 2 other children she is raising and if we can raise enough for her to stay home and attempt to get some healing with her other children would be a great blessing. “
