The third season will follow Quinn’s fourth novel, “Romancing Mister Bridgerton,” which will focus on Penelope and Colin’s friendship turning into one of the best romantic relationships!
The official synopsis of the season states as follows: In Season 3, Penelope has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly. Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger.

Bridgerton Season 3 Plot: What more can the viewers expect from the season?

Much to everyone’s delight, this season will continue after Season 2’s Featherington Ball. So, their story has been adapted as a series before the third season is exciting as their bond has been kind of hinted at since the inception of the show, which turns into Bridgerton’s first friends-to-lovers trope! Nicola Coughlan also mentioned to Netflix Tudum that the pair is “the Ross and Rachel” of Bridgerton, adding, “But Penelope is the Ross. Bridgerton Season 3 Cast: Who will return to reprise their roles in the season?
Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton will be the main actors surrounding the story for the new season. The other cast members, including Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley, were confirmed to return for the third season as Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton, exploring their married lives and responsibilities as heads of the eponymous family.
