BTS boys are back and, this time, not for solo outings, but as a band.
All 7 members – RM, Suga, V, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook and Jin, who were not seen together for years, sat down and treated their fans to the news of their reunion in a Weverse live on July 1.
The news came just in time as the ARMY was already tired of holding their horses and rumors were going strong suggesting their comeback as a group super soon.
“We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year … We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are,” the boys said in a group statement.

Just last month, the remaining members of the group – RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga, were discharged from their mandatory military training. Jin and J-Hope were discharged in June and October, respectively, last year.
RM, who was discharged from the military on June 10 after 18 months of service, along with V, didn’t seem to enjoy the training as much as the other members.
In a brutally honest live, last month, after his discharge, RM opened up about his ordeal.
“Last year, the company went through a lot of things, and around April and May, before ‘RPWP’ came out, I was struck with insomnia. The thing is, in the military, you’re sleeping with 20 other guys. They’re sleeping right next to you, snoring and grinding their teeth. So… There was a time when I did not get a single minute of sleep for two days, for about 78 hours. That was toward the end of April. I mean, there were a lot of things happening outside the base. I remember thinking to myself, ‘Oh, I’m going to die at this rate.’ Like, I have to keep going with the daily schedule, but I’m running on no sleep. I’d be lying down and—those of you who have insomnia know what I’m talking about. I’m tired but I just can’t fall asleep.”
The company that RM referred to is HYBE, the entertainment agency behind BTS. The company found itself at the center of a serious controversy when the founder and chairman Bang Si-hyuk was facing allegations of potentially misleading shareholders back in 2019. Hyuk is under investigation for financial fraud, as per reports.
The Grammy-nominated septet is also gearing up to release their first-ever live album “Permission to Dance on Stage – Live” followed by a digital companion piece titled “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul.”
The album features 22 songs from their tour including hits like Dynamite, Butter, Life Goes On, Boy With Luv and ON.
The once boy-next-door band has now transformed into a global K-pop phenomenon, with V and Jin also leaving a mark as actors.
Jimin and Jungkook have their own travel variety show, Are You Sure, the first season of which was a smash hit. The duo will now return for Season 2, as confirmed by Soompi.
