BTS members were recently appointed as the ambassadors for the Busan World Expo 2030 bid. On June 24, 2022, HYBE’s CEO Park Jiwon, chairman Bang Si Hyuk, and the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City Park Hyeong Joon signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Busan Metropolitan City Hall. The agreement was made in an effort to promote the upcoming expo bid with the 21st-century pop icons in the limelight. Now, the fans are quite excited to know that BTS is all set to return with a full group concert.

Free of charge concert?
While the announcement about BTS being the ambassadors has already left the fans excited, it has also been reported that the concert is going to be a promotional activity for the Busan Expo and that it will be free of charge! As per the latest media reports, the much-awaited concert is supposed to be held in mid-October, and the potential values for the same are Busan North Port, Samrak Ecological Park, and Busan Asiad Main Stadium. The event management team is reportedly looking for the best location that suits the concert. HYBE has reportedly agreed not to charge a single fee for the concert, thereby taking the fans’ wishes to cheer for BTS into consideration.
More concert details
It is reportedly expected that around 100k people will be attending BTS’ concert and the global streaming for the same is currently in consideration. The officials from the Expo have reportedly said that the concert will be on the largest scale and is expected to boost the public’s interest in the Busan World Expo 2030. It is also supposed to be the largest event ever conducted in Busan as thousands of consumers are expected to flood the expo.

The BTS will not only be the brand ambassadors for the Busan World Expo 2030, but they will also be holding a global concert for the same. Furthermore, they will be participating as goodwill ambassadors in various activities to encourage the members of the Bureau International Des Expositions (BIE) that votes for the host country of the expo. The memorandum also includes the conditions that the Septet will have to advertise promotional videos via social media channels and provide videos and photos for the digital campaigns of Busan.
