On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, BigHit and J-Hope held an official listening party for J-Hope’s recent release of his solo album, Jack in the Box. The party welcomed some of the biggest hotshots of the South Korean entertainment industry to celebrate the release of the album. Among these were also his band members, including Jin, Jungkook, RM, V, and Jimin. Sadly, Suga couldn’t be there since he was running a fever.

Recently, a Bangtan Bomb was released on YouTube Bangtan TV, which provided a sneak peek into the bash. The video highlighted how the members were all jittery before entering the party. J-Hope wondered how people would react to his music, whereas Jin and Jimin were anxious about socializing with people. The members expressed their emotions in the dressing room and wondered whether they would be able to interact with such big hotshots or not. Enter the all-time savior, the leader, the spokesperson of the group, aka RM, aka Rap Monster, aka Kim Namjoon.

Turns out that RM is more than being the elusive ‘God of Destruction’ as he’s called out to be. He helped Jin calm his anxiety by greeting people in the Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s style. For those unversed, Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a popular ongoing K-drama that features Park Eun-bin in the titular role, along with Kang Tae-oh and Kang Ki-young. Apart from airing on ENA every Wednesday and Thursday, it is available for streaming on Netflix. The series focuses on Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin), who is an autistic lawyer with a photographic memory, which does not really stop her from winning against the biggest hotshot lawyers in the town. The series is ongoing, with nine episodes already released.

Now, back to the video. In it, the viewers can see Namjoon imitating the iconic style of greeting that is often adopted by the lead characters in the show, Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin) and Dong Geu-rami (Joo Hyun-young).

The world knows of the BTS. There is a reason why they are known as the ‘Sold Out Kings.’ The imitation of this greeting was enough for the ARMY to take the internet by storm and start imitating it on Instagram and TikTok.

From watching the video, we can aptly guess that RM and Jimin are devoted fans of the show. In addition to recreating the friendship greeting, Namjoon also mended some of the lines. For instance, in the video, we can see Jin asking, ‘How do I say hello to celebs?’ To that, Namjoon replies, ‘Bang to the Tan to the Jin.’ Jimin also pitches in, ‘Dong to the Geu to the Rami.’

At the party, we can see Jungkook dancing with Kim Taehyung, Namjoon interacting with other guests and J-Hope expressing gratitude to everyone who had come.
