BTS’s Jimin continues to achieve remarkable milestones in his solo career, recently making history by becoming the first soloist ever to win the prestigious The Fact Music Awards (TMA) Idol Plus Popularity Award. BTS’s ARMY fanbase is ecstatic as they witness their beloved K-pop idol’s series of significant victories, from dominating beauty polls to leading dance and vocal charts, and even dominating global social media trends.

TMA Idol Plus Popularity Award

BTS’s solo endeavors have marked an incredibly successful phase in the group’s illustrious 10-year journey. The Fact Music Awards (TMA) is highly regarded in the K-pop industry, awarded to the idol who garners the most fan support through votes cast via the Fan N Star application. Jimin clinched the Idol Plus Popularity Award on October 4 with a record-breaking 624,353 votes, constituting 36% of the total votes cast. This accolade is particularly significant as all previous winners in this category have been groups, including BTS and Super Junior. Jimin’s monumental achievement led to a worldwide celebration among fans, resulting in numerous hashtags trending globally on social media platforms.

BTS Dominates The Fact Music Awards 2023

Apart from Jimin’s historic win, both BTS as a group and its individual members secured several awards at The Fact Music Awards 2023. The winners were announced prior to the event’s actual date. Notably, V’s R&B song “Slow Dancing,” featured in his debut solo album “LAYOVER,” received the Best Fall Music award. BTS’s “Take Two” earned recognition as the Best Summer Music of the Year, alongside victories in the Fan N Star Choice Group and Most Voted Artist categories. The Fact Music Awards event will be hosted on October 10 at Incheon’s Namdong Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.

Jimin’s YouTube Milestone with “Like Crazy”

Jimin’s official music video for “Like Crazy,” released in March 2024, achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 100 million views on YouTube. This achievement follows his previous success, as the music video for “Set Me Free Pt.2” from Jimin’s solo album “FACE” also reached the same milestone on the video streaming platform. Excitingly, Jimin is reportedly gearing up for the release of his first documentary, which will compile behind-the-scenes moments and insights into the production of his debut solo album “FACE.”
