BTS member Jimin has proved his worth not only in the K-pop industry but also in the South Korean military. Yes, you heard it right. The ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2’ singer recently completed his KCTC training in the military and has been awarded the title of a ‘Special Warrior’ after the same. This news came out on June 3 when the ARMY got to know that the BTS member had now become a special-grade soldier after his training formalities.

If you are still unaware, then let us tell you that KCTC training is considered to be one of the toughest training sessions in the South Korean military. If reports are to be believed, soldiers get little to no food or sleep during this high-intensity training period.

This year’s training period is said to have begun on April 15-16 and had witnessed a participation of around 2000 people. Talking about Jimin, he received the special warrior status owing to his high scores in physical strength, service attitude, military training, and other skills.

Jimin’s military enlistment

Like the other members of the BTS, Jimin also enlisted for his military duties on December 12, 2023. His fellow bandmate, Jungkook, also joined him in the same session. The ‘Like Crazy’ singer reportedly joined the 5th Infantry Division after having completed his five-week-long basic military training. For the unversed, he was in the same division as his fellow bandmate, Jin. According to the latest reports, Jimin will be relieved from his military duties in June 2025.

Work front

Talking about Jimin, the BTS member made his solo debut in March 2023 with the album titled ‘FACE.’ This particular album consisted of seven tracks, all of which were huge hits. Among them, the track ‘Like Crazy’ was the lead single of the album. As of now, ‘Like Crazy’ is ranking at No. 1 again on Spotify’s Top 50 Daily Songs Chart in South Korea. This excellent milestone for the BTS member’s song comes nearly a year and two months after its release on March 24, 2023.
