BTS’ Jin asks fans not to visit his military training center

Jin is the eldest member of the BTS and is the first one among the group to enlist for the mandatory services. It has been already reported that Jin will be heading for the same on December 13, 2022. Following this news, BigHit Music, the agency associated with BTS, announced its position to one of the media outlets in South Korea on November 24, 2022. Here is what it says, “It is difficult to confirm. We ask for your understanding.”

Jin’s confirmation and request

Jin has reportedly addressed the leaked announcement about him getting enlisted in the military. Here is what the BTS member wrote, “There’s an article out there that I hadn’t planned on being published.. in any case, ARMYs, I ask that you please refrain from coming to the training centre. There will be many other people there and it could get dangerous with a big crowd. Army I love you.” Although it comes as a shock to the army, most of them have sent their best regards to Jin ahead of his enlistment.

Enlistment details

The BTS member will reportedly enter the recruit training center situated in Yeoncheon County of Gyeonggi Province on December 13, 2022. Jin is expected to complete his basic military training of around five weeks at the site. He will then get his official base for the rest of the enlistment period. The latest reports suggest that he is expected to be deployed to a frontline unit after training. The rest of the six BTS members- Jimin, V, SUGA, J-Hope, RM, and Jungkook, are expected to be present at the venue for Jin’s enlistment. However, there are no confirmations about the same.

The Astronaut

It was on November 18, 2022, that BigHit Music officially announced Jin’s first-ever solo album ‘The Astronaut’ having sold 1,024,382 copies, as per the Circles Chart (formerly called Gaon Chart) data. With this particular achievement, the eldest member of the septet has become the third solo artist in the Circle Chart history to have sold over 1 million copies of an album. The first two records are held by EXO‘s Baekhyun and Lim Young Woong.
