BTS’ Jin assigned front-line boot camp for his upcoming military service

The eldest member of the BTS, Jin, is all set to join a front-line Army boot camp situated north of Seoul next month. He will be going there to start his mandatory military service, as confirmed by Korean defense sources.

The 29-year-old singer who is a significant part of the septet is set to enter the boot camp of a front-line Army division situated in Yeoncheon which is 60 km north of the capital. His date of military enlistment is December 13, 2022, and is supposed to undergo a five-week training program, as per the latest reports. Jin will be assigned to one of the local units after his basic training is completed.

Agency confirmation

BigHit Music, the agency associated with BTS, had also confirmed about Jin getting enlisted in the military earlier. The agency announced its position to one of the media outlets in South Korea on November 24, 2022. Here is what it stated, “It is difficult to confirm. We ask for your understanding.”

Jin’s confirmation

Jin has reportedly addressed the leaked announcement about him getting enlisted in the military. Here is what the BTS member wrote, “There’s an article out there that I hadn’t planned on being published. in any case, ARMYs, I ask that you please refrain from coming to the training center. There will be many other people there and it could get dangerous with a big crowd. Army I love you.” Although it comes as a shock to the army, most of them have sent their best regards to Jin ahead of his enlistment.

The enlistment

The BTS member will reportedly enter the recruit training center situated in Yeoncheon County of Gyeonggi Province on December 13, 2022. Jin is expected to complete his basic military training of around five weeks at the site. He will then get his official base for the rest of the enlistment period. The latest reports suggest that he is expected to be deployed to a frontline unit after training. The rest of the six BTS members- Jimin, V, SUGA, J-Hope, RM, and Jungkook, are expected to be present at the venue for Jin’s enlistment. However, there are no confirmations about the same.
