BTS member Jin recently turned 30 and celebrated his special day with none other than the Army themselves! Just before enlisting for his mandatory military service in South Korea, the eldest member of the Septet treated fans with a short but sweet live session on Weverse’s community page. To double up the surprise, Jin’s fellow group member Jimin also joined him.
The special video
The live video begins with Jin talking about his fellow group member and close friend Jungkook. He also complained jokingly that JK didn’t visit him on his birthday while he did the same earlier. The BTS singer who recently made his solo debut with ‘The Astronaut’, went on to cut his birthday cake. He also urged everyone watching his live video, including his crew, staff, and the Army, to sing the happy birthday song as he cuts the cake. Jin jokingly revealed that the candle flames scare him as they look like horns!

The fun banter
The celebration was followed by Jin and Jimin’s fun banter in the comments section. Jimin starts the conversation by adding the below comment, “What do you want for your birthday,” as per Twitter user @haruharu_w_bts’ translation.” Jin, on the other hand, wrote in response, “We decided to not give each other birthday gifts~ it’s a lot giving 7 gifts a year.” He further added, “So Jimin-ah, there’s nothing you need to buy! I have everything.” Here is what Jimin responded in return, “The gift is my heart.”

BTS member Jin also went on to reveal that his friends have given him a huge birthday surprise. Here is what he said, “My friends brought a cake that was like a princess.. they were like ‘Seokjin-ah, you’re a princess, so you need to eat this cake.” He also revealed that fellow member J-Hope was the first one to wish him on social media. Not only did Hobi wish him but also called and sang his song ‘The Astronaut” with the following lines — “When I’m with you, there is no Jin birthday.”
