BTS’ Jin To Make Netflix Debut With Variety Show Kian’s Bizarre B&B

BTS member Jin is all set to make his Netflix debut with the upcoming variety show, Kian’s Bizarre B&B.

From an aspiring actor to a global K-pop star, BTS’s oldest member Jin has had a unique path in the world of entertainment. Born on December 4, 1992, in Gwacheon, South Korea, Jin dreamed of becoming an actor. His dream led him to BigHit Entertainment, where he had plans to train to make his acting debut. But the universe had different plans. 

In 2013, Jin made his K-pop debut in the band, BTS, alongside members Suga, RM, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. BTS went ahead and became a worldwide phenomenon, redefining the K-pop industry. 

On March 12, 2025, Netflix dropped the teaser of Kian’s Bizarre B&B featuring BTS’s Jin.

Jin will join South Korean TV personality and webtoon artist Kim Hee-min, famously known as Kian84, the host of the B&B, alongside actress Ji Ye-eun. The trio is set to navigate their way through the highs and lows of hosting, offering their guests a unique and entertaining experience. 

The teaser hints that the guests will face strange yet fun challenges. Unlike other variety shows, guests won’t be given a grand traditional entrance rather they must do rock climbing to check in and eat bare-handed. The unconventional design of the B&B consists of a cross between a guesthouse and a theme park.

Kian’s Bizarre B&B will have nine episodes, with the first three set to be released on April 8, followed by three every week for two weeks.

The variety show marks a new milestone for Jin, as he is set to establish his identity as a solo artist. 

Fans believe  Jin’s experience in the variety show will further hone his on-screen presence and possibly lead him to an acting role. “Seeing Jin on a show like this, showcasing his natural charm and comedic timing, just makes us even more eager to see him in a drama or film”, a fan commented on the teaser. 

Jin gained recognition for his visual appeals and stable vocals in the group. His charming personality and his “Worldwide Handsome” moniker quickly garnered fans’ attention. Even within the group, he had the opportunity to express his individual style with songs like Awake and Epiphany. Jin also contributed to the OST of the 2021 drama Jirissan with the song Yours, which became a hit among fans and on music charts.

In 2022, Jin collaborated with Coldplay and released the song The Astronaut as a gift to his fans before his military enlistment.

He began his mandatory South Korean military service in December 2022, becoming the first BTS member to do so. He served as an active-duty soldier and completed his military service in June 2024.
