BTS member Jin has taken over the iTunes chart, but this time it’s not because of a Septet song. Yes, you heard it right! The eldest member of the Bangtan Boys has taken over the charts with his first-ever solo single ‘The Astronaut.’ For the unversed, the song that the singer collaborated with Coldplay was released on worldwide music platforms on October 28, 2022. Now, the song has risen to the top of the iTunes song charts in all over 97 countries. Apart from that, the solo track’s official music video was trending at the number one position on YouTube shortly after its premiere and has racked up more than 15 million views.
BTS member Jin recently added a music video teaser for his collaborative solo single ‘The Astronaut’ with Coldplay on the group’s official social media handle. The 30-second video starts with a glimpse of Jin sitting on the field. We can also see a spaceship crash landing and on fire as he looks forward with an unfamiliar expression on his face. We get carried away by the sensuous and mysterious sound and visual beauty that evoke a feeling of watching some sci-fi movie.

Once BTS member Jin has completed his committed roll-outs, including his single solo release, the singer will be off to serve South Korea’s military for at least 18 months. Here is what the official label said about his enlistment, “Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government. Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans.”
