BTS’ Jungkook makes it to Billboard Hot 100’s No. 1 position with SEVEN

BTS member Jungkook is currently on cloud nine for all obvious reasons. If that was not enough, there is another reason for the Army to celebrate as the Golden Maknae has recently reached the first rank of the Billboard Hot 100 chart owing to his solo single title SEVEN. The much-awaited news came out on July 24, 2023, and now SEVEN is at the top of the chart, making Jungkook the unbeatable musical star!

Moreover, it has more records to add! It is because Jungkook’s song is the 68th track to debut directly at number one after making debut in the chart, which has been functional since 1958. As for SEVEN, it has already witnessed around 21.9 million streams ever since its release!

Jungkook’s Earlier Achievements

It is not the first time that Jungkook made such a sensation on the Billboards. In 2022, the talented K-pop star made waves on the ‘Hot 100’ chart with two remarkable tracks. One was ‘Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS).’ It was the original soundtrack of HYBE’s captivating webtoon ‘7FATES: CHAKHO.’ For the unversed, it was personally created by SUGA. The other was a sensational duet with Charlie Puth titled ‘Left and Right’. Later, JK became the second individual from BTS to top the ‘Hot 100.’ It was later after Jimin’s success with ‘Like Crazy’ in April 2022.

BTS as a group has also achieved a significant milestone on the Billboard chart earlier. For the unversed, it is the 10th group ever to reach the highest ranks on the ‘Hot 100’. As of now, the K-pop group is on a hiatus, with all its members concentrating on their respective solo ventures. As for the two members, Jin and J-Hope, they are currently serving in the military as a part of the compulsory enlistment process.

For the unversed, Jungkook unveiled his solo single ‘Seven’ with a flourish on July 14, 2023. The enchanting melody blended addictive beats, the soulful strumming of an acoustic guitar, and the rhythmic cadence of the ‘UK garage’ genre. As a result, fans from all corners of the globe flocked to YouTube to hear the amazing number. That is the reason why the music video surpassed an astonishing 100 million views on July 25, 2023, just a few days after its grand debut. As for Jungkook, he keeps on updating his fans regarding his upcoming projects through various social media platforms.
