BTS’ Jungkook releases new track ‘My You’ to mark the group’s 9th debut anniversary

Just when we were rejoicing about the release of BTS’ new album Proof, one of the members, Jungkook, had yet another surprise for all his fans. The golden maknae took the opportunity to give a new gift to the army around the world by dropping his new song My You on the Bangtan Boys’ 9th debut anniversary. The way in which he surprised the fans was quite witty as well, and we thought, why not share the entire event with you!

The new song

Just an hour ahead of the clock striking twelve on June 13 KST, a tweet was shared on the official Twitter account of the Septet that said the following words, “22.06.13 00:00 AM.” There was also an image that imitated a text message saying ‘Hi’ with a bunny emoji. It was enough for the fans to figure out that the youngest member of BTS was about to surprise the army to commemorate the South Korean group’s ninth debut anniversary.

As the clock struck twelve on June 13 KST, another tweet was shared on the official handle along with a caption that read, “[#2022BTSFESTA] 613 Song For ARMY My You by Jung Kook of BTS.” And it is there that we got to know that Jungkook has released the brand new song My You to mark the group’s debut anniversary. For the unversed, it has been composed by Jungkook himself. The track includes both English and Korean lyrics and includes an amazing lyric video.

 

Jungkook has also shared a heartfelt message for the fans along with the song while explaining its inspiration and stating that it is dedicated to the army.

Meanwhile, millions of fans from around the world have wished and congratulated the BTS members as they marked their 9th debut anniversary recently.
