Seven feat. Latto, the debut solo single by BTS’ Jungkook has achieved 2.5 billion streams on the music streaming platform Spotify. His agency, BigHit Music, confirmed this on Thursday and also revealed that the track achieved the milestone on August 18, a long time after its release in July 2023.
For the unversed, this is the first time a Korean solo artist has ever hit the mark on the platform. With this, JK’s songs have now been streamed more than 9.4 billion times, the most for any K-pop solo act to date. The BTS member’s solo album Golden, released last November, has also been recorded over 6 billion plays.

Seven’s records do not stop here. Earlier, the track hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart, including the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. It also became the fastest song to reach 1 billion Spotify streams in just 108 days. Later, Billboard even named it the most popular song outside the United States in its 2024 International Power Players list.
Even two years on, the track has completed over 100 consecutive weeks on both the Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.
Recently, Jungkook appeared on Weverse Live for his broadcast Badada, where he wore a hoodie layered over a gray sleeveless T-shirt. Around the same time, BTS held a reunion livestream on the beach, sparking much celebration as Jin finally rejoined the group after his tour across Europe. Much cheer, joy, tears and love flooded for the boys, especially Jungkook’s hoodie.
As for the BTS members, the K-pop group reunited for the first time in July after their military enlistment since 2022. The band also confirmed rumors that they were preparing to release new music in a special livestream session.
Here’s what the OT7 said in a statement, “We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”
They added, “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”
