BTS’ RM’s ‘Indigo’ creates new record on this popular music platform

BTS leader RM’s fans are super elated as his full-length album titled ‘Indigo’ was finally released on Friday. Not only that but RM also released the MV of the song titled ‘Wild Flower’ which is the lead single of the album. For the unversed, the song features Cho Yeojeen, who has also featured her voice on the track. To add to this, Indigo has made a whole new record on the popular music streaming platform Spotify.

On December 2, 2022, the BTS leader finally released his highly-anticipated album which earned rave reviews from fans and critics globally. Not only that but the album also topped several international and domestic music charts across the globe, and one such chart is the international music streaming platform Spotify.

Indigo has now set the record for the biggest debut for an album by any Korean soloist in Spotify’s history, which has surpassed over 20 million streams.

ARMYs around the took to social media to celebrate BTS leader RM’s big Spotify record. Fans also discovered that Kim Namjoon has surpassed his own group the Bangtan Boys in Spotify rankings and joked that he almost “ended BTS.”

BTS leader RM’s fans have another reason to celebrate as he is currently dominating the iTunes charts across the globe with his brand new solo album! On December 2, 2022, at around 2 pm KST, Kim Namjoon released his highly-anticipated solo album ‘Indigo’ and its title track called ‘Wild Flower’ featuring Cho Youjeen. It was not much later that both ‘Indigo’ and ‘Wild Flower’ soared to the top of the iTunes charts in multiple countries across the world.

As recorded on December 3, 2022, ‘Wild Flower’ had already hit the No. 1 rank on the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 87 regions including Canada, France, the United States, Germany, and more. On the other hand, ‘Indigo’ had reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 67 different regions including Germany, Italy, and France. Additionally, just 20 hours after its release, BTS’ RM’s music video for ‘Wild Flower’ already surpassed 8.4 million views on YouTube.
