BTS makes a new record with ‘Boy with Luv’ on Spotify

On February 9, 2023, BTS’ hit single “Boy with Luv” from 2019, featuring Halsey officially exceeded 1 billion streams on the popular music platform Spotify. With this, the song set a new record among K-Pop artists. For the unversed, the title track from the group’s 6th mini-album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’, released on April 12, 2019, reached the 1 billion stream count on Spotify, 3 years and 9 months after its official release.

With this, the Bangtan Boys once again made a historical record because “Boy with Luv” has currently become the first-ever Korean song to hit the said milestone. Moreover, the official track is the group’s third song to have made the record, after the septet’s English-language singles namely “Butter” and “Dynamite”.

The BTS army has found yet another reason to rejoice because the official teaser for an upcoming ‘Run BTS’ episode was shared on February 7, 2023. For the unversed, it is titled, ‘Run BTS! 2023 Special Episode – Mini Field Day.’ Apart from that, it is expected to be the last full group ‘Run BTS’ episode until 2025 when the group plans on get-together again after a long phase. It is because all members from the septet will be enlisting for their mandatory military service one by one, and it is likely that this will be the last episode with member Jin before his military enlistment.

As the name suggests, the seven members of BTS are set to go on a field day trip. The official teaser also suggests multiple games that will be reportedly played between them. The fun elements that the Army can witness on the upcoming website include a weightlifting competition with a twist or a fight with balloons used as swords. SUGA, one of the septet members can be seen slipping on a slide while playing and reportedly says, “A drama without script.”

This year, the BTS members earned 3 nominations from the Recording Academy for Album of the Year as contributors to Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’, Best Music Video for ‘Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)’ and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category with ‘My Universe’ also alongside Coldplay.
