Significance of the stamps

Commemorative stamps are issued in South Korea to commemorate all historically important figures or significant events, and about 20 different types get issued each year. The stamp issuance plan is reportedly deliberated and selected by an official group called the Stamp Issuance Deliberation Committee. This particular group is composed of university professors and other intellectual experts. Talking about the BTS commemorative stamps, they will be reportedly issued in the first half of next year and the theme for the same will be ‘Record of Youth’. If media reports are to be believed, the specific stamp design is going to be decided in consultation with HYBE which is closely associated with BTS.

Since its first-ever airing in 2003, the commemorative stamp of Pororo has become a representative character in South Korea. They reportedly contain the meaning of gratitude and promote the celebration of love around the world. You will find multiple beautiful Korean stamps that promote the importance of Hangeul, unique vegetable flowers, and bees that play a significant role in the ecosystem, to name a few.
