Earlier song records

Dynamite is not the only song of the BTS members that has created a record. A few weeks ago, another music video of the Septet, Mic Drop, created a new record on YouTube by crossing the 1.2 billion mark.

Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) crossed 1.2 billion views on YouTube as recorded on June 1, 2022, at around 3 am KST. It is the fourth-ever music video of the K-pop group to have crossed such a milestone on YouTube. It has now joined the bandwagon of other BTS videos, including DNA, Boy With Luv, and Dynamite, all of which have crossed the 1.2 billion mark on YouTube.

The official MV for Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) was released on November 24, 2017. It also means that the powerful video took just four years, six months, and seven days to complete such a milestone. The news went public on the very day when the BTS members already created history by meeting US President Joe Biden in the White House to discuss various significant matters associated with Asian inclusion and representation.
