BTS continues to make a significant impact on the international music scene, even as the group’s members adhere to their military enlistment schedule. Their decision to pursue individual activities temporarily has proven to be a chart-topping success rather than a detriment.

The seven-member K-pop sensation is currently celebrating a remarkable achievement in the UK: their 2016 album, “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever,” has received a gold BRIT certification.

An Extraordinary Accomplishment

On October 13, the British Phonographic Industry officially announced that “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever” is now the group’s sixth album to secure a gold BRIT certification. This is a historic milestone not only because it is their sixth album to achieve the esteemed gold certification in the UK but also because it is one of their earliest works to attain this recognition. The album, released on May 2, 2016, marked the third and final installment in BTS’s critically acclaimed and globally successful “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life” series.

BTS Albums with Gold BRIT Certification

Apart from “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever,” five other BTS albums have achieved gold BRIT certification in the UK: “Love Yourself: Answer,” “Map of the Soul: Persona,” “Map of the Soul: 7,” “Face Yourself,” and “Love Yourself: Tear.” The BRIT certification criteria stipulate that singles are awarded Platinum status for sales exceeding 600,000 units, Gold certification for 400,000 units, and Silver for 200,000 units. For album certifications, the requirements are 300,000 units for Platinum, 100,000 units for Gold, and 60,000 units for Silver.

BTS’ Recent Activities

While three BTS members, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, are currently serving mandatory military service in South Korea, the rest of the members are scheduled for enlistment as per BIGHIT MUSIC’s plans, to be released by the end of 2023. Jungkook, one of the members, is gearing up for the release of his debut solo album, “GOLDEN,” in November, accompanied by a solo on-stage performance in Seoul. Meanwhile, BTS member V is actively participating in multiple promotional and fan sign events for his recently released album, “Layover.” RM and Jimin have already launched their solo singles and albums, making significant waves in the music industry.
