BTS’ Proof creates new record by selling 2 million copies on Hanteo

BTS’ much-awaited anthology album Proof is already out, and we couldn’t be more excited about the same. For the unversed, the album was released on June 10, 2022, along with the title track Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment), which earmarked yet another record-breaking achievement by the K-pop group. There was no denying that Proof was welcomed warmheartedly across the world with its epitome of BTS’ 9 years journey and three new tracks.

Proof is the second album in Hanteo’s history to have recorded 2 million sales within a day ever since its release. The album has joined BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7’s record that was released in February 2020. According to reports, it has amounted to around 2.15 million copies sold on the day of its release. It is also expected to break the group’s previous record of first-week sales.

Yet To Come

Yet to Come has become the first song to debut in the number one spot on the popular music platform melOn’s top 100 chart ever since it got rebranded. Remarkably, the song made this record within an hour of its release. The track has also grabbed the number one position on the iTunes Top Songs chart in a whopping 97 regions, including the United States, Canada, Australia, etc. The album Proof has also ranked number one on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 65 regions.

Proof’s announcement

BTS’ album Proof was earlier announced on May 4, 2022, at 8.30 pm IST through a live stream on the official YouTube channel of the Bangtan Boys. It also included audio saying, ‘We Are Bulletproof.’ The album is reportedly an epoch in the journey of the BTS members and their fans. It includes the past hits and three new tracks of the K-pop group representing the past, present, and future of all members.
