The BTS members are currently serving in the military but have made sure to keep their fans updated about the process. In the midst of all this, V, one of the members, has just announced his new digital single titled ‘FRI(END)S.’ For the unversed, it will be released on March 15, 2024. For the unversed, this particular track is said to be a love song that comes under the category of the pop-soul R&B genre. It will be released at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST) on the same date.

As soon as the announcement about V’s latest track was made, fans came up with theories of their own with a few wondering why the ‘end’ is highlighted in the track name. A few of them have also tried guessing if the new song is an extension of ‘FRIENDS’ that was earlier created by Jimin and V together. This single track follows shortly after Kim Taehyung released his solo album ‘Layover’ last year. After that, he, along with a few other BTS members, joined the military in December 2023. The ones who joined along with him were RM, Jungkook, and Jimin.

Meanwhile, Tae Bear has several solo tracks within BTS’ albums. He is already known for his distinct vocal style and emotive delivery across different tracks. Examples of such songs include ‘Singularity’ (from ‘Love Yourself: Tear’) and ‘Stigma’ (from ‘Wings’). These tracks always highlight V’s ability to convey different kinds of deep emotions through his music. Fans are in love with the BTS member’s baritone vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and, of course, charismatic stage presence.

Last December, Big Hit, the agency associated with the BTS band, shared that the final four band members — RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — were set to begin their military enlistment process. Earlier, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga were already enlisted for the same enlistment process.
