V has announced the sad passing of his fur buddy, Yeontan. The BTS member shared the tragic news with his fans on Instagram, posting a carousel of photos and videos capturing sweet moments with Yeontan.
In his Instagram Stories, V posted a note for the ARMY sharing the news of his dog’s demise. He began by greeting them directly, saying, “Hello ARMY, are you having a warm end of the year? I’m glad the weather isn’t too cold yet! It feels like it’s been a while since I greeted ARMY with music.”
The ‘Love Me Again’ hitmaker did not immediately reveal Yeogtan’s passing. Instead, he first gave a reminder about his current musical releases signaling his fans to tune into them in case they have missed out.
V gave a shoutout to his record-breaking Holiday track ‘Winter Ahead’ and upcoming track ‘White Christmas,’ which will be released on December 6.
He wrote in the post, “I have fond memories of preparing the duet with my beloved Hyo Shin hyung, and also the carol by Bing Crosby, whom I deeply respect, which will be released soon. Time flies, and it’s already December.”
V then went on to write why he was addressing his fans in the first place, saying, “Actually, the reason I’m writing this post today is that recently, Yeontan has embarked on a long journey to the dog stars.”
He noted that he felt right to share the news of Yeontan’s passing since the ARMY has always shown love towards the dog, before adding, “I would be grateful if you could remember Yeontan and wish for his happiness even in the stars. I hope you have a warm end of the year where you can tell your loved ones that you love them once more.”
Yeontan was adorably known as “Tannie” by the ARMY as they never hesitated to share their love and well-wishes with V’s canine friend.
