With Jack in the Box being the greatest hit ever with all the 10 songs claiming their spots on the US Spotify Daily Top Songs Daily Chart, J-Hope has been on a roll. Without taking a minute to breathe, the Arson singer is all set to make his debut and headline the grand American music festival Lollapalooza.

Lollapalooza is an annual four-day music festival scheduled from Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Grand Park, Chicago. The event originally began with Jane Addiction’s leader Perry Farrell in 1991 to promote his band’s farewell tour. The name of the event is derived from an archaic word that connotes ‘extraordinarily impressive’.

For the ARMY, what is ‘extraordinarily impressive’ is J-Hope headlining the event since it makes him the first-ever Korean artist to perform at a major American music festival. For this, he was spotted at the airport, bidding his adieus to his South Korean fans, waving and bowing at them. He is supposed to perform in Chicago on July 31.

One of the BTS members, everyone’s all-time favorite, V, aka Kim Taehyung, also bid his adieus to his rapper friend in his own uniquely cute way. He wished for his ‘God’s speed’ by playing various songs from J-Hope’s Jack in the Box in the background while he tried several new Instagram filters and shared them as his Instagram story. For instance, Taehyung tried the fire filter, among others, while playing Arson in the background. In addition to this, he also shared a screenshot of the track Safety Zone from Jack in the Box.

Later, the Safety Zone singer re-posted the story with, ‘Tae burned it all!’, referencing the lyrics of one of his own songs. Not only that, but J-Hope also shared his photo and wrote, ‘Let’s go!’

The release of Jack in the Box has been a watershed moment in J-Hope’s life. It claimed the first position on the iTunes Top Album chart in over 49 countries, and all the 10 songs have gained their individual spots on the US Spotify chart. His pre-released song, MORE, is currently glued in the 82nd position on Billboard’s Hot 100 main single chart.

Besides J-Hope, Taehyung is also recently expanding his niches apart from music. His IN THE SOOP: Friendcation recently released its first episode on July 22, 2022. Friendcation is a spin-off of the IN THE SOOP, featuring BTS’ V, Peakboy, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik and Park Seo-joon, also popularly known as the Wooga Squad members.

BTS had caused a far-reaching ripple effect with their announcement in June of taking a hiatus for a while. They later clarified that the group activities would continue. However, the individual members would be investing their time and efforts more in their solo careers.
