BTS wins it big at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards with 3 achievements

It is time for the Army to rejoice as the BTS members have won big once again at the year 2022’s People’s Choice Awards! On December 6, 2022, the People’s Choice Awards was organized in Santa Monica, California. For the unversed, BTS won in not one but three different categories that included The Concert Tour of 2022, The Group of 2022, and The Collaboration of 2022.

BTS’ new achievement

This is the third consecutive year since 2020 in which BTS has bagged the Group of the Year award, an impressive feat that once again solidifies the group’s global reach. Apart from that, the Septet’s “Permission to Dance on Stage” concert also won The Concert Tour of 2022. For the unversed, the BTS had also bagged the same group of the year award in 2018. Earlier this month, the Bangtan Boys was revealed to be the only artist to have earned two of Billboard’s Top 5 Boxscores of the year 2022 on the charts. The group reportedly amassed a total number of 458,144 attendees over not one but 11 concerts, with their journey from Seoul to Los Angeles and then Las Vegas.

Another achievement

To add to their list of achievements, BTS’ youngest member Jungkook and Charlie Puth’s latest collaboration song “Left and Right” also won The Collaboration of 2022 award. The hit collaboration single further ranked high on Billboard’s year-end Global 200 chart where it ranked at No. 106, and on the Digital Song Sales chart, where it ranked at the no. 30 position.

The Spotify record

The Army has another reason to enjoy as the BTS members have recently broken yet another record. It is because the global icons are currently the fifth most streamed artists on Spotify globally. It is as per the year-end data released by the popular music streaming platform. Talking about the earlier four positions, they were taken over by individual artists. Now, as per the latest data, BTS is the most streamed group on Spotify.

The docuseries

BTS released an announcement video related to their upcoming documentary that is all to be released on Disney+Hotstar. For the unversed, it is going to be titled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star. It is supposed to trace the much-loved group’s journey from its debut days in 2013 till recent times.
