Charlie Kirk’s sudden death has sent shockwaves through Hollywood, too, as Chris Patt, Jimmy Kimmel, Arnold Schwarzenegger and others are speaking out while remembering the activist.
The conservative commentator, 31, was shot dead while giving a speech at an event at Utah Valley University.
Kirk, who co-founded Turning Point USA, a conservative youth advocacy group, was 20 minutes into a presentation at the campus when a suspect suddenly fired a gunshot from an apartment, which was around 200 feet away, as confirmed by NBC News.
The political activist was immediately rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries, as announced by President Donald Trump. The 79-year-old also wrote on Truth Social, “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.” Trump continued, “He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.”
Meanwhile, American television host Jimmy Kimmel termed Kirk’s untimely demise as ‘horrible’ and ‘monstrous.’ “On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless violence,” the Late Night host wrote on Instagram.
Dr. Phil of The Real Story fame also reacted to the activist’s death on the latest episode of his show and said, “His spirit, passion and message will live on. Prayers for his soul and his wife and children.”
Barack Obama, former president of the U.S., also sent his and his wife Michelle’s heartfelt condolences on X. He wrote, “We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”
Former vice president Kamala Harris also shared that she and her husband were ‘disturbed’ by Charlie Kirk’s sudden death, while sending prayers to the late activist’s family. “Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence,” Harris wrote on X.
Actor Chris Pratt was among the first ones from the entertainment industry to react to Kirk’s assassination. The Guardians of the Galaxy star wrote on X, “Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger, on the other hand, offered his thoughts and prayers to the speaker’s family and wrote on X, “This is a horrible tragedy. May it also be a moment for everyone to rediscover their humanity.”
Piers Morgan called Kirk’s assassination “An appalling assault on free speech and democracy,”
“Charlie always welcomed debate, with anyone. This is disgusting, and heart-breaking. RIP Charlie,” he wrote on X.
