What happens to Chicago PD after Season 10?
For as long as the show has been running, it has been successful in retaining a great place with a good rating that is consistent. In fact, the show has been placed exactly behind Chicago Fire, “the most important title in the franchise’, according to One Chicago Center.
In addition to this, Deadline also reported that Season 9 has successfully garnered 5.8 million viewers, implying that the show is still one of the most-watched and favored shows that NBC boasts. In 2020, the network signed up a multi-season renewal for P.D., along with Fire and Chicago Med, which means that the upcoming installments will have something really great for us. It has the Wolf Productions logo, no wonder why there will be something great.
Considering how Dick Wolf has been able to sustain the One Chicago universe and keep it in the long haul, it seems that Chicago P.D. will be renewed for several more seasons in the future.
Chicago P.D. Season 10 will air on Wednesday, September 21 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

Between law enforcement and navigating interpersonal relationships, how the Chicago P.D. characters respond to chaos is part of the reason fans keep coming back for more. From busted drug deals to inner-city corruption, you never know what emergency the Chicago P.D. team will tackle next. While cities like New York and Los Angeles often receive attention from Dick Wolf, the Chicago-set franchise provides a fresh take on first responder action amid the backdrop of the Windy City, led by Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe).”
