Chris Evans and his wife, Alba Baptista, marked their inaugural public appearance at Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost’s festive Christmas party on Thursday night. The photos acquired by Page Six capture the The Gray Man star and his new bride looking “inseparable” and so in love.
“They looked inseparable and he seemed to be a gentleman and very protective of her,” an insider remarked of the newlyweds.“He quickly grabbed for her hand the second they left.” The event was also attended by luminaries like Lorne Michaels, Jon Hamm, Sarah Silverman, Alec Baldwin, and Hilaria Baldwin.

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista made their first public appearance as a married couple
In a stylish display, Evans, 42, and his wife, Baptista, graced the bash at the Flatiron Room. Evans exuded chic vibes in a brown overcoat paired with deep purple pants, while 26-year-old Baptista embraced the holiday spirit in a festive red tea-length dress, adorned with a navy blue overcoat and white scarf.
The couple, radiating joy, held hands and wore smiles as they mingled with some of Evans’ fellow “Avengers” co-stars at the gathering. This marked their first public appearance since tying the knot in an intimate at-home ceremony in Boston in early September, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Some of the actor’s Marvel co-stars present at the party were Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner. The event was also attended by John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as well as Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg.

Evans and Baptista had an intimate wedding
The nuptials between Evans and Baptista were done in much secrecy, according to an insider who revealed that the event was “locked down tight.” Attendees surrendered their phones and had to sign NDAs to ensure utmost privacy during the celebration.
A month later, the ‘Captain America’ actor officially confirmed their union, proudly displaying his new wedding ring. During New York Comic Con, amidst cheers from the crowd, he joyfully announced, “I got married. It was really, really great.”
Evans and Baptista had two wedding ceremonies
Evans not only confirmed his second wedding ceremony with Baptista but also provided insights into the dual celebrations. The actor disclosed, “We kind of had two ceremonies. We had one on the East Coast, and we did one in Portugal — my wife’s Portuguese. But they were just … wonderful and beautiful.”
Evans humorously acknowledged the challenges of wedding planning, stating, “It’s a lot planning a wedding — for those of you who are married, you know, it takes a lot out of you.”
It was in November 2022 when news of Evans and Baptista secretly dating for “over a year” began before it was confirmed when the pair was spotted in Central Park.
