Chrissy Teigen will probably never forget the end-of-the-year festive season, but for reasons completely different.
The 40-year-old American model took to Instagram on Sunday, December 21, to update her fans that she knocked out one of her front veneers in a candy cane accident while she was preparing a festive game for her children at home.
The cookbook author joked about in the caption, stating, “Merry chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!!” while revealing the stub of her original tooth in several clips and photos.
In the Instagram video, titled “Growing Candy Cane (Gone Wrong)”, Teigen was seen helping her kids, Luna, 9, Miles, 7, Esti, and Wren, both 2, fill plant pots with candy cane and crumbled Oreo cookies while they sat around a dining table at home.
Later in the Instagram video, which showcased the passage of three days, Teigen appeared to be sitting on the couch beside piles of candy canes, revealing that she had knocked out her tooth while preparing the sweet treats for her kids.
She said, “I’ve been working on candy cane-growing. I tried to open one of these bad boys … my tooth fell off”, while laughing and showing off her old, weakened front tooth. Teigen positively emphasized seeing the funny side of the situation, while revealing that she still possessed “the whole piece” of her veneer.
“This is what moms do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy cane. I was trying to create magic — now I have no tooth. And tomorrow’s the Winter Sing … oh my God!” Teigen added, referring to her kids’ school recital, according to PEOPLE.
In the video, Teigen was then seen driving her kids to their recital, while watching them as an audience member with a face mask partially covering her mouth.
Teigen wrote, “Had to go to recital like this.”
John Legend, her husband, understood the assignment and responded in the comment section with, “😂😂😂😂.”

Soon enough, Teigen posted a video on her Instagram Stories of herself sitting in a dentist’s chair having a veneer fixed. She wrote, “We are back in business, shout out to the tooth goat”, as she tagged her longtime cosmetic dentist, Dr. Laurence Rifkin.
Putting an end to her festive dental catastrophe, Teigen posted one last photo on her Instagram Stories, flexing with her old tooth while being joined by daughter Luna. She wrote over the image, “Was cool to say hi to my old tooth for a while hiiii old tooth!”
Considering that Chrissy and John’s house has always been eventful, it would’ve been weird if this year we did not get any tea. Speaking to E! News in September, the All of Me singer opened up about their life at home.
He said, “Having all that energy, love, and laughter in the house is beautiful. Everybody’s walking. Everybody’s talking.”
“We’re fortunate that three of them are now at the same school, so it makes drop-off and pick-up a little easier. It’s chaotic, but it’s a nice kind of chaos”, the 46-year-old Minefields singer added.
