Close Enough Season 4: Is it renewed or canceled?

Fans worldwide are getting ready to learn more about Josh and Emily’s tumultuous journey. 

Another animated genre series that has received worldwide critical acclaim for its character-driven story arc about the quirkiness of being an adult and how these characters eventually deal with those happenings, Close Enough, has been the talk of the town, especially for updates regarding Close Enough Season 4.

Created by J.G. Quintel, this series was initially scheduled to air on TBS in 2017. The project experienced numerous delays and setbacks before finally debuting on HBO Max on July 9, 2020. Following TBS and TNT’s Front Row blocks announcement, the series premiered on TBS on October 25, 2021. 

The show thrives because of its uniqueness. Especially as one of the most appropriate depictions of Los Angeles, depicting the city as more than just a haven for wealthy celebrities.

However, Close Enough truly distinguishes how its precision serves a much more widespread sense of empathy.

This show has not only captured viewers’ hearts but made them able to relate to the characters, which is the first step for any show to achieve success within such a short time. The expectations are high, and fans can’t get more excited about the current season and what’s in store.

As of now, there is no official confirmation about the potential renewal for Season 4 of this series. The third season of the show premiered this year on April 7, 2022. Fans were ecstatic to be able to watch the series again, so naturally, the fandom started asking for any updates on Close Enough Season 4 across social media platforms as soon as they viewed the final episode.

However, fans should be aware that any official announcements from HBO Max have yet to be made, and they should remain patient for any such future updates on Close Enough Season 4.

Close Enough Season 4 Release Date

Season 3 of the animated series debuted just a few days ago, so Close Enough Season 4 will take some time to arrive on streaming services if the series receives renewal updates ahead of time. 

The creatives would have been able to delve into this universe to explore their next step to move forward with the storyline and how to deal with these characters and their arcs, which will bring justice to the show and the loyal fans.

As a result, we can only speculate on the dates until any official announcements are made. However, based on the pattern of their previous releases, we can predict that the series will release sometime in late 2022 or early 2023 if confirmed for another season. 

How many episodes will be there in Close Enough Season 4? 

The official number of episodes in Close Enough Season 4 has not yet been officially confirmed as the viewers wait for its renewal, but we can predict at least 8 episodes in the next season because the previous three installments have all had 8 episodes. 

For the time being, however, fans should also keep in mind that sometimes the story needs to be told in a way that can be covered in a limited number of episodes unless they have a much longer season to explore more in-depth in relation to production factors which makes animation possible.

Each episode has a runtime of about 22 – 24 minutes. So, we can expect Close Enough Season 4 to have the same runtime for each episode when it is renewed and available to stream by the viewers.

As per Wikipedia, Josh and Emily, a couple in their early thirties, and their young daughter, Candice, share a Los Angeles duplex with their divorced friends, Alex and Bridgette. They get into what appear to be regular domestic crises, which tend to escalate in bizarre (often Science Fiction-Esque) ways.

Rotten Tomatoes reported a 100 percent approval rating based on 19 reviews, with an average rating of 8/10. “Completely absurd and yet utterly relatable, Close Enough captures the strange experience of being an adult,” according to the website’s critical consensus. 

It has a weighted average score of 74 out of 100 based on six reviews on Metacritic, indicating “generally favorable reviews.”

According to IMDb, the series has an overall score of 7.9 out of 10 with 9.7k votes.
