Cobra Kai Season 5 Plot
The official synopsis released by Netflix for Cobra Kai Season 5 states, “Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.”

Moreover, as the filming of Season 5 was completed back in December 2021, Co-creator Hayden Schlossberg in an interview with GamesRadar+ stated, “We’ve just shot season 5. And we ended up in a situation where the finale is, I don’t want to say bigger, but there’s a lot of action going on in our season five finale. This makes the upcoming season even more exciting for the fans as we know that Season 4 was a big major shift for Cobra Kai, therefore season 5 will likely deal with the consequences which indicate that the upcoming season will be a little more centrally focused.”
Many fans have been debating online that Cobra Kai Season 5 will show Daniel, Johnny, and the rest of the team attempting to finally bring down Terry Silver, despite their own personal dramas. Given where Season 4 was left with, Silver now has complete control not only over Cobra Kai, but the whole San Fernando Valley and beyond’s karate culture. And if you know Silver, you know he’s the last man alive who really should have that much power over a bunch of karate kids. If this event is addressed in the upcoming season it will be one of the most anticipated scenes by the fans.

In addition to this, show creator, Jon Hurwitz, in an interview with Deadline stated, “Season 4 everyone knew that we were heading toward a tournament — Season 5, no one knows where we are headed.” He added, “We do, because we already made it. There’s a lot of insanity; if you’re a fan of the franchise, maybe some familiar faces show up, maybe not; there’s going to be a lot of karate.”

Cobra Kai Season 5 Episodes
The official number of episodes in Cobra Kai Season 5 has not yet been officially confirmed, but we can predict at least 10 episodes with a runtime of 22–47 minutes, just like the previous seasons. Many TV series usually prefer to keep the episodes range in a similar pattern to convey the plot in a consistent manner which sometimes needs to be told in a way that can be covered in a limited number of episodes unless they have a much longer season to explore more in-depth in relation the story and different character arcs of the series.

Will there be a Season 6 of Cobra Kai?
Cobra Kai Season 6 has yet to be confirmed, however, series creators Josh Heald, Hayden Schlossberg, and Jon Hurwitz have stated that there will be more to come and discover in this franchise which is definitely a good sign for a potential Cobra Kai Season 6.

Co-creator Hayden Schlossberg in an interview with GamesRadar+ stated, “we’re knocking on wood hoping that we can continue past season five, because we didn’t write that as an end.”
He also stated, “We have another in store. We really do still have some of our biggest fireworks and biggest cannons left. So we know that we have some big, epic things up our sleeve. But it does become like, ‘Okay, how do you top that each season?’ As long as it comes from the place of character, fans will get into it and what we don’t want to do is [where] it just becomes more spectacle than substance. And so that’s the overriding goal.”

Heald told Collider, “It’s changed at times, but it also hasn’t.” He further added, “We still have an endgame plan. We’re still writing beyond season 5. But it’s been fun to bring in those new characters and storylines and let them lead the way sometimes.”
Jon Hurwitz also stated, “We’ve never said from the beginning how many seasons there would be. I think we always viewed it as at least six was sort of in our heads, but we’re still figuring out exactly what the length for that landing is for all the reasons that Josh mentioned.”
