A famous superhero created by American comic book company DC Comics, and first appeared in Bob Kane and Bill Finger’s Detective Comics on March 30, 1939. The franchise has had feature films and a universe of its own. It has also had animated series and has now gone a step ahead and experimented with Spotify’s limited series named The Riddler: Secrets In The Dark.

This new Warner Bros. Project is going to see Dark Knight and the ecstatic villain, hunt down a third voyeur who is murdering the most notorious enemies of Gotham City. While Hasan Minhaj, the famous American Comedian and Writer has taken up the antagonist’s voice after his commendable work at Spotify’s Batman: Unburied.

It will also see Colman Domingo, a famous actor making it to the Oscars for works like Rustin. This is totally out of his niche as after civil rights-based drama, he will be voicing Gotham City’s Superhero himself.

The Hollywood Reporter also confirms the voiceovers and sees some prominent names there, “The cast of Secrets in the Dark also includes Gina Rodriguez as Barbara Gordon, Calum Worthy as The Messenger, Hannah Simone as Nadira, Peyton Crim as Killer Croc, Jim Pirri as Arnold Flass, Jason Isaacs as Alfred, Ashly Burch as Vicki Vale, Hugh Scott as Calendar Man, Bri Giger as Summer Gleeson, Aflamu Johnson as King Tut and Amy Argyle as Bat-Tech.”

The news of the 38-year-old comedian coming as the antagonist made headlines after an article allegedly declared, or conspired out of his standup routine to find out if he was voicing the antagonist. So based on his statements and a response to the article there was no doubt that he is officially a part of the Spotify series.

He said and The Hollywood Reporter reports, “All my standup stories are based on events that happened to me. Yes, I was rejected from going to prom because of my race. Yes, a letter with powder was sent to my apartment that almost harmed my daughter. Yes, I had an interaction with law enforcement during the war on terror. Yes, I had varicocele repair surgery, so we could get pregnant. Yes, I roasted Jared Kushner to his face. I use the tools of standup comedy— hyperbole, changing names and locations, and compressing timelines to tell entertaining stories.”

Meanwhile, Colman Domingo is known for his impactful roles in shows like Lincoln and has been awarded with a Primetime Emmy Award, a Tony Award nomination, and an Olivier Award. Known for his works like Candyman, The Color Purple, and guest appearances in Euphoria, his voice-over career is also bright. He voiced Unicron in Summer’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and plays Bayard Rustin in the civil rights drama Rustin-which is the role of a civil rights activist.

Spotify has been making these series as a pre-build-up to come up with more series under the Warner Bros-DC Universe with upcoming additions like Harley Quinn and The Joker: Sound Mind.
