Courteney Cox has recently made headlines by candidly admitting that her experience with facial fillers was nothing short of disappointing!
In the glamorous world of Hollywood, where beauty standards often seem unattainable, it is not a big surprise that there are many celebrities who have turned to cosmetic procedures to enhance their looks. The rise in cosmetic trends is nothing new, as it has been a part of the industry for decades. It’s just in recent times that many influential public figures have come forward to share their experiences with their followers to make them aware of the regrets that they have carried over the years ever since they went down the path of injectables.
One of the celebrities who has been known to give the most honest revelation is none other than the beloved Friends star Courteney Cox, 59. She has once again taken center stage to highlight this issue. The Shining Vale star revealed that she regrets ever going down the path of such big cosmetic enhancements like facial fillers rather than aging naturally, as she believes it was ultimately a futile decision. This revelation from a prominent actress like Cox raises important questions about the pressure and expectations placed on celebrities to maintain a certain appearance.
In a new interview with Woman magazine, per the Daily Mail, the actress and filmmaker told the outlet, “There’s so much pressure to stay looking young in this industry that once you start, it becomes a bit of a domino effect and you keep on having more.” Further adding, “To the rest of the world your face is so obviously changing, but to yourself — because you’re only having one procedure at a time — you don’t notice.” Cox concluded by emphasizing that, “It was a total waste of time and I wish I hadn’t caved into the pressure of having it.”
However, we would like to highlight that this isn’t the first time that Cox has confirmed that she had all her fillers dissolved in 2017 and has since decided to age naturally and not go under the needle.

In March, Cox appeared on an episode of the “Gloss Angeles” podcast and talked to hosts Kirbie Johnson and Sarah Tan Christensen, sharing similar thoughts on the “domino effect” of starting with fillers. “You don’t realize that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more, ’cause you look normal to yourself,'” she said at the time. “Thank God they are removable,” Cox added. “I messed up a lot and now luckily … I was able to reverse most of that.”
In one of her recent well-known 2022 interview with the Sunday Times Style magazine, she admitted that she “tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years,” adding, “I didn’t realize that, oh s—t, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.” On the topic of sharing a picture of those times on Instagram instead of the present, she added: ‘I’d say, “The day you realize what your friends were talking about.” ‘Because people would talk about me, I think. But there was a period where I went, “I’ve got to stop. That’s just crazy.”‘
Finally, one of the most widely known segments that went viral a few years ago was when she discussed the pressures put on women in the public eye when the star featured in the third season of Running Wild with Bear Grylls. She stated, “Sometimes you find yourself trying [to stop aging] and then you look at a picture of yourself and you go, ‘Oh God, I look horrible,'” she said. Further stating, “I have done things that I regret, and luckily there are things that dissolve and go away. So that’s good because [it has] not always been my best look.”
“Now I have a new motto: Let it be,” she counted.
