Seems like these two are still there for each other!
In an interview with CBS Sunday morning, during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of “Friends” series finale, Courteney Cox remembered her late co-star Matthew Perry. “I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years,” she said while also adding, “He visits me a lot, if we believe in that.”
Cox and Perry worked together for almost 10 years, playing Monica Geller and Chandler Bing in the show who started off as best friends and ended up getting married, and having twin babies. Mondler (Monica and Chandler’s couple name) is still considered one of the most perfect couples in the sitcom world.

When Cox was asked about her spirituality, she replied by saying, “I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that, I think, guide us,” further adding that “I do sense — I sense Matthew’s around for sure.”
The news of Perry’s death got out when he was declared deceased on October 28, 2023, after being discovered unresponsive in a hot tub at his residence in Pacific Palisades, California. Two months later, in December, the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that the reason behind his death was “acute effects of ketamine.” The autopsy additionally noted drowning, coronary artery disease, and the presence of the opioid buprenorphine as contributing factors to his demise.

The whole world was mourning his death as the loss felt extremely personal. The fans were extremely sad and wanted to know what Perry’s “Friends” had to say, when all five of them, including Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow, released a statement conveying their sorrow regarding the heartbreaking news.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just castmates. We are a family. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world,” the statement read.

Later in November, Cox honored Perry on Instagram by sharing a clip from one of their dozens of scenes together on “Friends,” writing, “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day,” the actress wrote. “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.”
