Cristiano Ronaldo shares heartbreaking news of the demise of his newborn baby

Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo has recently shared a piece of heartbreaking news with the entire world. In a recent post on Instagram, the football star has revealed that his twin boy is no more. The boy passed away after Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to a twin girl. The Manchester star shared this post on his social media handle that was signed jointly by him and his partner Rodriguez.

The official statement

Here is what Cristiano Ronaldo’s statement reads about the demise of his newborn baby.

“It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It’s the greatest pain any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all the care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”

Reactions to the statement

Fans around the world, including Cristiano Ronaldo’s own team, extended their condolences on the demise of the child. In fact, Manchester United left a comment on the post that reads, “Your pain is our pain. Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time.”

Many other noted celebrities also extended their condolences on the same post. For instance, Piers Morgan wrote, “Heartbreaking news. My deepest condolences to you and all your family.” On the other hand, Usain Bolt shared emojis with folded hands on the post. Moreover, Yohan Blake wrote, “So sorry my friend.”

Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, also released an emotional open letter in which she stated that the ‘little angel’ is in their ‘daddy’s lap.’ This is in reference to the demise of their father, Denis. For the unversed, he left for his heavenly abode in 2005 after a long battle with alcoholism. Denis was just 52 when he passed away after drinking himself to an early grave. It was revealed by the Manchester United legend last year in October that he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez are expecting twins. The Portuguese athlete took to social media and wrote, “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you.”

Georgina also shares a daughter, Alana, with Cristiano who is three years old. Apart from that, the Manchester United player has a son named Cristiano Junior, 11, and twins Mateo and Eva, aged four years. He met Georgina back in 2016 and both of them have been inseparable since then.
