There is no doubt that die-hard fans were ready to be dazzled as the iconic dance competition, ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ returned for its highly anticipated Season 32 last month on September 20, 2023, with Alfonso Ribeiro hosting the season and former professional dancer and judge Julianne Hough joining as co-host.

But much to everyone’s surprise, the ABC premiere of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 32 captivated audiences with its dazzling display of talent and captivating performances, drawing in an impressive 6.5 million viewers, which is quite amazing.

The premiere emerged as one of the most highly viewed reality shows on television, and this latest season did not disappoint in delivering a thrilling mix of breathtaking routines and celebrity contestants that has once again left viewers eagerly awaiting new episodes!

Moreover, the same number of people who last watched ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on ABC in 2021 came back to watch the September 26 season premiere. According to Live+3 results from Nielsen, 6.50 million viewers tuned in to watch Matt Walsh become the first celebrity to get the old heave-ho from the ballroom. The hour-long premiere averaged a 1.08 rating among adults 18-49. ABC says the premiere was held even with the series’ prior season on ABC in the fall of 2021 when it averaged 6.50 million viewers.

The show grew by 1.72 million total viewers on September 26 and jumped 69% in the demo from Live+Same Day to multi-platform 3-day.

This show doesn’t show any sign of stopping anytime soon, as it continues to reign as one of the top-rated shows for the prime-time schedule on television. The show’s success can be attributed to its ability to consistently deliver high-quality performances and its knack for creating memorable moments that keep viewers hooked.
