Is Dollface Season 3 canceled by Hulu? Continue reading to learn more.
Dollface is a Jordan Weiss-created American comedic streaming television series that premiered on Hulu on November 15, 2019. Both the seasons of Dollface consist of 10 episodes with a runtime approx of 22–32 minutes. Whenever a franchise has two seasons and has the potential for more in the future, the question of whether the series will be renewed or canceled in the middle of the tale is commonly noticed and speculated among the fandom.
So, the fans who are eagerly anticipating the next chapter of Dollface, we got some unfortunate news for you. Sadly the wait to binge-watch the Dollface Season 3 has proved to be short-lived, as the series was officially announced to be canceled. Here is everything we know about Dollface Season 3.
Will there be Season 3 Dollface?
Dollface Season 3 has been officially canceled by Hulu despite having two seasons in the franchise and having a pretty good viewership and reception on the platform. Though the series received mixed reviews from the critics it still managed to get the audience’s attention who binge-watched the prior seasons and were anticipating the third season might be on its way.
This is devastating news for the viewers because the second season ended on a potential cliffhanger that will not be addressed due to the sudden cancellation, and those who invested so much time in watching the series will now be unable to bid adieu to these characters with a proper series concluding storyline.

Someone at @hulu needs to explain to me how the powerhouse dynamic of @OfficialKat, @BrendaSong, and @shaymitch isn’t enough to renew #Dollface for season 3 😡

Was there going to be Dollface Season 3?
*Spoilers Ahead*
The second season did end with a potential cliffhanger in the finale episode, Birthday Girl. In the episode, the viewers got to see that while waiting for CAMLA to respond, Jules informs Celeste that she will be leaving Woöm. Jules, on the other hand, finds out that her new position is no longer accessible.
Jules tries to contact Celeste at the airport before she leaves for the Maldives to ask for her job back, but she understands she needs to move forward. Izzy requests a second chance from Liam, and the two reunite. Later in the episode, the group attends the successful opening of Stella and Liv’s pub, The Gi Spot.
As the romance between Jules and Fender develops, Madison and Ruby reconcile, and Izzy is named Celeste’s new right-hand lady. Stella informs Liv that she is ready to totally commit to their relationship, but Liv insists on keeping their relationship strictly professional for Bruno’s sake. Jules, along with Stella and Izzy, surprises Madison with a virtual trip to Greece, which Jules constructed in her garage, after their birthday trip to Greece did not go as planned.
This ending reveals that the show’s creators were undoubtedly hoping for another season if the show got picked up by Hulu. Unfortunately, the network has now cut it short due to the abrupt ending, and the fans will not be able to get the conclusion that they truly deserve.
Why did Hulu cancel Dollface Season 3?
The news about the cancelation was first reported by TVLine. But, it’s still unclear why Hulu opted out of renewing Dollface for a third season. If we have to guess it seems like by the prior seasons that the series received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics with the two seasons averaging a 54% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 78% audience approval rating which might have led to the cancelation of the series.
If compared with the other series in the catalog of Hulu that has many genres of TV series and movies to watch. The series might have lacked that stronghold in the streaming platform. Moreover, the series viewership might have also been a factor that may have led to its cancelation.
Moreover, Kat Dennings who portrays Jules Wiley, stated in an exclusive interview with Collider in February when asked whether she believed a third season was coming, saying: “I’m superstitious. I always assume one and done, for everything. I don’t think I decorated my dressing room at 2 Broke Girls until season five. I always assumed I just had to have my bag packed. I don’t really think about it. But of course, that would be incredible and there are all sorts of dream scenarios I’d love to see.”
The announcement about cancelation comes three months after Season 2 was released in its entirety in February. Dollface, on the other hand, could have been grappling with major worries about the series’ development and plot for another chapter, leading to its discontinuation. At this time, this point is simply speculation, so we recommend that fans wait for Hulu to confirm the genuine reasons.
What could have been the plot of Dollface Season 3?
At the end of Season 2, Jules announced her resignation to Celeste, who was pleasantly surprised. Jules, on the other hand, is upset when she discovers that her new job is no longer available. She’s desperate to “give up.” Her subconscious, on the other hand, advised her to stay focused on her objectives and continue her research.
Both Jules and Fender are happy in their personal lives. Ruby and Stella are conversing, despite the fact that their relationship is still strained due to their competing business interests. Izzy and Liam, on the other hand, have made peace with one other. Madison’s birth anniversary with her friends and family is in the last seconds of the season.
We would have been able to discover more about Jules’ personal and professional progress if the show was extended for a third season. Because of her fragile employment condition, she is currently in limbo.
Even if Ruby and Stella have decided that they no longer need to be in a relationship, if they continue working together in their firm, things may not go as easily as they had hoped. In addition, it appears that Izzy’s life was taking an unexpected turn. As a result, what happens between her and Madison in the upcoming episodes would have been fascinating to watch in Dollface Season 3. Sadly, that is not the case now.
