Elite Season 5 was aired on April 2022. Right after, netizens are wondering about the Spanish thriller’s upcoming season. Given the news from last year that Netflix has renewed the show for Season 6, the fans are curious to know everything about it. One thing we are very much sure of and that Elite Season 6 is not coming to Netflix in June.
Here’s everything you need to know about Elite Season 6 and its expected arrival.
What is Elite all about?
Elite is a Spanish thriller teen drama created by Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona. The plot is set in a fictional school called Las Encinas where three students, belonging to working-class families, have joined the school through a scholarship program. The narrative revolves around the interactions between these students and their elite classmates.
What sets this teen thriller drama from others apart from the cliches, are the progressive themes that it explores deftly, especially the diverse sexual themes. Generally, the plot takes place in two timelines and each season deals with a mystery. So far we have received 5 seasons of Elite from Netflix and viewers are visibly hungry for more.
Here’s a timeline of the season along with their release dates:
Season 1 was aired on October 5, 2018; while Season 2 was released on Netflix on September 6, 2019. Season 3 came out on March 13, 2020; Season 4 aired on June 18, 2021, and Season 5 dropped on Netflix on April 8, 2022. Now that we are waiting for Season 6 to drop by, let’s see what we know about it and how much we can speculate.

Elite Season 6 Release Date
Last year in October, Netflix dropped the bomb. Elite was once again renewed for the sixth season. After which no other official announcement had been made regarding its premiere date. Season 5 has just ended and yet we cannot wait to know so much more. Here’s a speculation about the plausible date of the new season. Given that Elite seasons appear once every year, we can assume that Elite Season 6 might be set to release sometime early in 2023.
Also, since Elite Season 6 has not been labeled as the final season as of now, we might as well dare to look forward to more seasons in the future. With this in mind, we have our fingers crossed and hope to see the familiar faces again.

As mentioned earlier, the release date hasn’t been confirmed for Elite Season 6 but we sure know it’s happening. Hence we are unable to share any trailer for Season 6. But you can always walk down memory lane and watch the Season 5 trailer again.
Elite Season 6: What to expect?
Before we move on with our expectations from Season 6, we must revisit Season 5.

As we know each season of Elite deals with a gripping story that sets the ball rolling. Likewise, Season 5 had Armando’s death at the hands of Guzmán. Then again in a flash-forward, we see Samuel floating in a pool and this is a cliffhanger where Season 5 ends. Now, in Season 2, we knew Samuel disappeared but later in Season 3 we got to see him alive. Therefore, Samuel’s ultimate state of being is keeping us awake. This is something that Season 6 must answer.
In the present timeline of Season 5, we find Samuel and Rebeka trying to cover up Armando’s death while Benjamín convinces Samuel to confess to the police and that he will surely help him. Benjamín walks back on his words when Samuel is arrested. Samuel speaks to the police and decides to gather evidence against the involvement of the Principal. Right when Samuel has gathered the evidence, he gets into a row with Benjamín and falls into the pool. When his friends arrive, they blame it on Benjamín but he calls it an accident.
In this purview, Season 6 will be introducing a new Principal and most probably Benjamín might be arrested for hiding the evidence. Also, if characters like Samuel, Reveka, Omar, and Caye leave the show, then the limelight might turn on others like Isadora, Ari, Mencia, and many more. One more aspect to watch out for is Iván and Phillipe’s relationship
Elite Season 6 Cast: Who do we expect to see?
The official cast lineup is still not available from Netflix. Hence the fate of Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Rebeka (Claudia Salas), Omar (Omar Ayuso), and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) is still unknown. Though it’s time for them to move on from Las Encinas, yet if there’s a chance for them to return in Season 6 maybe it will be because their story needs a closure. Netflix has already confirmed that Itzan will be leaving the cast members and we are getting similar vibes from his Instagram posts.

Also, we think characters like Ari (Carla Diaz), Phillipe (Pol Granch), Iván (André Lamoglia), Isadora (Valentina Zenere), Patrick (Manu Rios), and Mencia (Martina Cariddi) will be back. Netflix has also informed, this year January, that five new faces will be joining Season 6 and one of them is a transgender actor – Ander Puig. They rest of the new cast members are: Carmen Arrufat Biasco, Ana Bokesa, Álvaro de Juana, and Alex Pastrana.
