So, if you are wondering when will the final season be released, we ask you to hold onto your heart! It’s time to buckle up and get ready for the final chapter of the series, Elite, which many have hailed as a guilty pleasure!
At last, here is everything we know so far about the potential release date of Netflix’s Elite Season 8.
Elite Season 8 Potential Release Date: When will it premiere on Netflix?
The good news about the teen drama series renewal for the eighth and final season arrived on July 19, 2023, as it was confirmed that the eighth season, which will be created for Netflix by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, is all set to make its final comeback on Netflix with series veteran Mina El Hammani, who will be reprising her role as Nadia Shanaa, who is undeniably one of the fan-favorite cast members from the show within the last seven seasons.
In addition to this, the seventh season is already airing all the new episodes, with no details about the release date of Elite Season 8 confirmed!
So, if we consider the timeline of the prior season’s release date along with the production schedule, then it seems quite understandable why the filming of the final series has already begun and will probably wrap up by this year, maybe in December. Due to this, the release date might get approved to be sometime around the spring or fall of 2024, only if the production goes smoothly without any unnecessary delays.
Please note that just like the series, we are also all kind of extra here as this is just our guess, and we’ll have to wait for an official confirmation from Netflix. Moreover, series creator Carlos Montero confirmed at a press conference for Season 7 that Season 8 would be the series’ last, saying the series “ended on a high note.”
“We are shooting the eighth season, which will be the last season of ‘Élite.’ We ended on a high note,” show creator Carlos Montero said during a press conference. “Jaime [Vaca, co-showrunner for Season 7], Netflix and I thought it was time to end it. I say this with great regret because it’s been several incredible years in which I’ve met wonderful actors, we’ve worked with all the directors we wanted to work with and we’ve had the luxury of having Maribel these last two seasons. ‘Élite’ changed everyone’s life, there are actors who started with us and it has been their springboard to be now world stars, it is happening to this cast and it is a pride to have contributed to that and to know that they have seen us all over the world and liked it.”

Elite Season 8: What to expect from the last season?
No details about the plot of the final season have been confirmed except that the series will end on a high note!
There is no doubt that “Elite,” one of Netflix Spain’s longest-running fictional series, will continue to follow a group of working-class students at an elite high school and their relationships with their wealthier classmates. Due to this, we are certain that the final season will pick up major plot elements and character arcs from the final episode, “I’m Gonna End This Forever” of the newly released seventh season, in which a new death shocks the students of Las Encinas. Iván makes a last-minute proposal to Joel, while Isadora must decide what to do with her parents.
Moreover, Netflix has also announced that for Season 8 of “Elite,” new cast members will be a major part of the story, and it includes Ane Rot (“Killer Book Club”) and Nuno Gallego (“UPA Next”) as the new main characters for the last season. As stated above, Mina El Hammani will also be reprising her role as Nadia since she last appeared in the fourth season. Danna Paola has also stated that she would likely reprise her role as Lucrecia in the last season of the show, although it’s still unclear if she would appear or not. This marks the second season in which one of its original main cast members reprises their role.
That’s not it! This casting also makes it the first season to feature two of the original main cast members appearing together. It’s also the first season to feature two of the original recurring cast members reprising their roles (Abdelatif Hwidar and Farah Hamed). Lastly, the most recent featured players include Omar Ayuso, Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia, Carmen Arrufat, Álex Pastrana, Álvaro de Juana, Ander Puig, Ana Bokesa, Nadia Al Saidi, Mirela Balić, Gleb Abrosimov, Fernando Líndez, Alejandro Albarracín, Iván Mendes, Maribel Verdú and Anitta. It is produced by Zeta Studios.
We would like to emphasize that as the production is moving forward, these cast members are still subject to change, as there can be some new additions and removals from the last season as per the plotlines of the final season, which will be confirmed later! Until then, the readers are requested to keep up with the show’s official social media to learn about all the latest developments that will be disclosed in the near future.
Elite Season 8 Official Episode Count: Where to stream?
As of writing this, the upcoming season is expected to have a total of 8 episodes with an average runtime of 41–59 minutes, just like the prior seasons. On the other hand, we would like to point out that the network has not released the episode titles and synopsis of the series yet in order to avoid spoilers. It will be published once the episodes are due to air on the streaming service. So, we would advise fans to be patient and binge-watch all the prior seasons to recall the overall storyline.
In addition to this, when Elite Season 8 draws close to its release date along with the prior seven seasons, it will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix, with other series of the same genre also accessible on the streaming platform with a range of membership options depending on the package you choose. The basic membership starts at $9.99/month, and the standard membership starts at $15.49/month at no additional cost with any of their services.

Elite Season 8 Official Trailer: Has it been released?
There is still a lot of time left for the official trailer to be released, as the production is still ongoing. So, it makes sense why no new teaser can be published this early on!
For the time being, we request that the readers check out the 1:59-minute official trailer of the seventh season, which was released by the network a few days ago before streaming the season. The trailer showcases that the seventh season of Elite will bring viewers back to school with more drama and even more new people! Omar is back. Iván has a broken heart.
