Just in time for Christmas, the wildly popular rom-com series returns for a third season on Netflix.
Get the Sancerre ready! The good news has finally arrived as our French friends will be back on screens at midnight PT/3:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. The third season of the drama-comedy series was announced back on January 10, 2021, alongside a Season 4 announcement. After a long time, the fandom will once again get to see Emily’s escapades through a foreign country as she tries to balance all aspects of her professional, romantic, and personal life which can be seen in the exclusive clip below.
Here’s the official Season 3 synopsis courtesy of Netflix: “One year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life. Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie – at work and in her romantic life – and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.”
The series will see the following star cast which is as follows Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Camille Razat as Camille, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie. The guest star in the show is Paul Forman as Nicolas De Leon and Melia Kreiling as Sofia Sideris. Episode 1: J’ai Deux Amours (I Have Two Lovers): After the bombshell that Camille has moved in with Gabriel, Emily is stuck with a tough decision: leave the Gilbert Group and remain in Paris to work for Sylvie or return to Chicago with Madeline and keep climbing the corporate ladder.
Episode 2: What’s It All About…: Emily and Luc concoct a plan to get the band back together. Meanwhile, at the Fête de La Musique, Benoit surprises Mindy; Emily makes a grand gesture.
Episode 3: Coo D’état: The Agence Grateau team pulls no punches to get back their former office space. Emily is faced with a life-altering decision.
Episode 4: Live From Paris, It’s Emily Cooper: An unemployed Emily plays tourist in Paris until she nabs a waitressing gig at one of the hottest restaurants in town. Sylvie’s hard veneer shows cracks at the launch of Camille’s latest gallery show – an exhibit helmed by a talented and alluring experimental artist.
Episode 5: 000 La La Liste: Emily works to boost Agence Grateu’s profile, but unexpectedly finds herself in the spotlight. Camille and her new artist work more closely, and Emily learns a secret she’d rather not know. Mindy reconnects with a high-profile friend from her past.
Episode 6: Ex-En-Provence: Agence Grateau heads to Provence for a luxury car event in the lavender fields. Alfie is stuck putting out a working fire with Antoine, providing just enough oxygen to rekindle Emily and Gabriel’s ever-present spark. A surprise guest at the event throws Sylvie’s relationship in turmoil.
Episode 7: How to Lose a Designer in 10 Days: A suddenly desperate Pierre Cadault reaches out to Sylvie and Co. to help with the launch of his new store, which takes an unexpected twist for all of them. With Alfie and Camille out of town, Mindy ropes Emily and Gabriel into an accidental double date with Nicolas De Leon.
Episode 8: Fashion Victim: Sylvie confronts an enemy from her past while Pierre’s store opening becomes a matter of life and death, sending shockwaves through the fashion world. Gabriel makes a drunken confession that sends Emily spiraling.
Episode 9: Love is in the Air: Emily learns that Alfie is keeping their relationship on the DL while Gabriel gets serious about his future – with love and work. Nicolas tries to drive a wedge between Mindy and Emily.
Episode 10: Charade: Gabriel’s grandmother, Gigi, comes to Paris to help with the reopening of his restaurant. Emily wants to help Gabriel earn a Michelin Star, and finds an unexpected ally in Luc. Everyone heads to Champagne for a grand celebration where a major bomb is dropped.

Emily in Paris has also reached the top ten list of most-watched streaming shows per Nielsen. Netflix revealed that the series has been watched by 58 million households in the month after its debut. The series remained in UK’s top 10 list for 40 consecutive days after its release. So, when the release date draws close it will be available exclusively on Netflix, with other series of the same genre also accessible on the streaming platform with a range of membership options.

Additionally, if we see the trailer, Emily declares, “This is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make!” But whether she’s talking about her love life or her career crossroads – or both – is yet to be seen. “I feel like she would be more of a fish out of the water now in Chicago than in Paris,” showrunner Darren Star tells Tudum. There’s no wavering when it comes to another big life decision, though.
“This is just something that I have to do,” says an alcohol-fueled Emily as she lops off the front of her hair, thereby cutting her own uneven bangs. In reaction, Mindy (Ashley Park) really says it all: “Emily, noooo!” By the trailer’s end, it seems Emily may be doubting her new do (or perhaps there’s bigger issues afoot), as she practically yells at Gabriel when he inquires how she is. “They’re just bangs!
