Get ready for a night filled with pure entertainment as the incredibly talented Emma Stone will be back as the host to grace the iconic stage of ‘SNL’ for the fifth time!
Currently starring in “The Curse” as Whitney Siegel, who is a co-star of the HGTV show, Stone, 35, will be back to make the regular ‘SNL’ viewers laugh with amazing sketches by helming the role of host for the highly anticipated sixth episode, which is scheduled to air next month on December 2, 2023, at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock. The actress made her hosting debut back in 2010, and during Season 36, she returned in 2011 and 2016.
Most recently, she hosted the Season 44 in 2019 with musical guest BTS.
Joining her on this exciting new episode is none other than rising star Noah Kahan. Born in Strafford, Vermont, the American singer-songwriter, 26, is an indie folk singer who recently got nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. His wish came true to perform in SNL, as he previously expressed to be a part of the show, quoting, “I wanna perform on SNL. I don’t even care if it’s an off-brand version called Sunday Night Live just get me on the show I’ll do anything.”
Moreover, he will soon be seen on The Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) Tour in 2024.
The Season 49 premiered on October 14, 2023, with host Pete Davidson and musical guest Ice Spice. Since then, the show has been back on track and benefiting by picking up in viewership, as it was badly affected and delayed due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. So far, the hosts who have made their appearances this season are Bad Bunny, Nate Bargatze, Timothée Chalamet, and Jason Momoa. Other musical guests include Foo Fighters, Boygenius, and Tate McRae.
This season has also seen many celebrity cameos that got many viral clips from the episodes trending all over social media platforms, some of which include Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Pedro Pascal, Lady Gaga, Mick Jagger, Alec Baldwin, Christopher Walken, and more. After the departures of nine cast members within the past year, the entire cast from the previous season returned, with James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman, who both joined as featured players prior to season 47, being promoted to repertory status, while Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker, all of whom joined the previous season, remained as featured players.
On October 4, 2023, New York City-based comedian Chloe Troast was announced as a new cast member.
