Emma Stone, known for her stellar acting and impeccable sense of style, once again stole the spotlight at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards with a fashion choice that was as whimsical as her latest movie, Poor Things.

The Victorian-inspired ensembles from the film, crafted by costume designer Holly Waddington, have been turning heads, and Emma Stone’s Critics Choice Awards red carpet appearance was no exception.

For the event, Emma graced the red carpet in a custom black Louis Vuitton one-shoulder dress, and needless to say, she left a lasting impression. The gown, adorned with intricate scalloped detailing, showcased a one-shoulder, sleeveless design with a floor-length hem.

It also features a sleek tie around the waist featuring a unique “BB” detailing in the same color, undoubtedly capturing the attention of fashion enthusiasts. Speculations suggest that this subtle detail is a nod to her character, Bella Baxter, in the upcoming film Poor Things, for which Stone is nominated for Best Actress. The gown was further enhanced with hand pleats adorning the rim of the one-shoulder silhouette. The actress complemented her look with a stunning diamond necklace and earrings, adding a touch of glamour to the ensemble.

Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin elevated her natural features with a subtle touch, creating a dewy complexion with a flawless finish. The perfectly lifted brows, complemented by a warm brown eyeshadow, added depth to the look. A delicate hint of blush accentuated the actress’s radiant glow, while a red sheer matte lipstick provided the finishing touch.

Stone won the Best Movie Actress of the Year Award. Speaking to the crowd, she described her role as “one of the greatest joys of my life.” She continued, “I got to unlearn a lot of things in playing her. Unlearn parts of shame and societal stuff that gets put on us, and I’m still working on it.”

The actress is familiar with wearing Louis Vuitton, as she is currently an ambassador for the French luxury fashion house. The brand featured Stone in its fall 2023 campaign, which also included rock band Haim. Stone recently showed out at the 2024 Golden Globes in a custom sheer Louis Vuitton gown that featured pale, floral embroidery.

The Critics’ Choice Awards recognize the greatest film and television achievements of the year. Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, the 29th annual ceremony airs live on The CW on Sunday, Jan. 14. Margot Robbie will honor her “Barbie” co-star, America Ferrera, with the SeeHer Award, while James Mangold will present Harrison Ford with the Career Achievement Award.
