We are saddened to inform our readers, but it is crucial to address all the major speculation about the release dates in order to put this long debate to rest that has been created by the fans on the web, as it is based on pure predictions. As of writing this, we can assure the readers that no official release date has been set for Demon Slayer Season 5 by the network or has even been hinted at by the creators. Demon Slayer Season 5: What to expect from the new season?

Ever since Ufotable saw the success of Mugen Train, which was released as the 2020 anime film, along with the second season’s second part, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—Entertainment District Arc, which aired 11 episodes from December 5, 2021, to February 13, 2022, there have been rumors indicating that the network might be opting to follow in the same footsteps as before, which will make the fifth season a bit different than usual!

According to a reliable source for anime news, Ufotable may release at least one movie before the much-awaited fifth season. The report claims that there is a plan for the Infinity Castle film before the release of the fifth season makes its official comeback. Moreover, the movie is expected to follow the plot of the last arc, The Final Battle, which will be divided into The Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown, and it will include 69 chapters, making it the longest arc thus far. The plot of the Final Battle Arc, which is the eleventh and final story arc of Kimetsu no Yaiba, follows:

“In an epic confrontation, Tanjiro and his fellow Demon Slayers have fought on through the night, suffering terrible losses against the King of Demons, Muzan Kibutsuji. Dawn is breaking soon, and if they can keep Muzan at bay just a little longer, it will be the end of the centuries-long struggle. But Muzan, who will stop at nothing to destroy the Demon Slayers, unleashes his most terrible powers. If he can’t defeat the Demon Slayers, he may be able to cause them to destroy themselves from within. All fates and destinies will be decided as the sun begins to rise.”

So, if we take this report at face value, then it’s not far-fetched to assume that the creators might be trying to develop more movie projects in order to bank on the success of the first one by releasing them in theaters before premiering any more episodes! We’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds, as everything relating to this subject matter has not been acknowledged by the team!

On the other hand, the cast members who are reported to return in the fifth season are as follows:  Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado, Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado, Akari Kitō as Nezuko Kamado, Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Kengo Kawanishi as Muichiro Tokito, Saori Hayami as Shinobu Kocho, Tomokazu Sugita as Gyomei Himejima. Moreover, Miyuki Sawashiro will be returning to the series, this time as Doma, who is a character familiar to fans of previous seasons. Toshikahiro as Tomioka, and Daiki Yamashita has been cast as Yushiro. There can be some more additions to the cast, which will be disclosed later.

Demon Slayer Season 5 Episode Count: Where to stream?

We regret to inform our readers that the official number of episodes for Demon Slayer’s fifth season has not yet been disclosed by the show’s makers as of the time this article was written. However, as was already noted, it is likely that the most recent episode will aim to maintain the same number of episodes as its predecessors, which can be around 11 to 26 episodes, depending on the overall plot of the season. We also speculate that in order to avoid major spoilers leaking ahead of the premiere, the producers have also withheld the official episode names and synopsis for the time being.

As a result, we recommend that readers catch up with the prior seasons of Demon Slayer, which are now available to watch on different websites like Netflix, Hulu, animeLab, and Funimation. The series is also licensed by Aniplex of America and streamed on Crunchyroll. Furthermore, AnimeLab is simulcasting the series in Australia and New Zealand.
